This is my tribute page! as u read the following story you are probably going to realize that sid vicious was my hero and he always will be!!!! be sure to check out the pics at the bottom!!! Sid Vicious was born John Simon Ritchie on May 10th 1957. Sid was not a normal person he was, like his mom, a speed addict and grew up in london, but moved several different times due to his mothers constant change of jobs. At the age of 15 he dropped out of highschool. he joined the sex pistols, as i mentioned above. All was well until this young groupie came to London with one ambition: to bed a sex pistol! that groupie was nancy spungen. She attempted to get Johnny rotten, the sex pistols lead singer, to sleep with her but after several unsuccessful attempts she gave up. that is until she saw sid vicious. she was successful this time and she and sid fell in love! they were the romeo and juliet of the punk rock world! that is until they came to a tragic end on October 12 1978! After a long night of doing drugs an boozing, they began to fight! early that morning nancy called her mother, Deborah Spungen< and told her of the beatings sid had given her! and as she went on she sounded as though she knew she would die that very night. and tragicly she did. someone had heard the screaming in room 100 of New Yorks Chelsea hotel and called 911. when the police arrived they found nancys body soaked in blood. she had a deep stab wound in her left abdomen and had bled to death during the night. Police took a shocked and still very stoned Sid to jail where he was charged with the second degree murderd of 20 year old Nancy. He was released on bail the next day. well on february 2, 1979 sid decided that he could no longer live with out his beloved nancy! his mother bought him a supply of drugs and watched him shoot it up. then she had went to sleep. she awoke the next morning to a very dead sid. He was just 21 years old. it was said that his mother had asked permisson to bury her beloved son next to his nancy! but the Spungens refused. so sid was cremated. and that night his mother took his ashes to nancys grave and scattered them there so they could be together once more! to this very day it is said that on february 2, 1979 punk rock music died! Sid was the original punk and no one will ever be able to replace him!
